Artist Statement: I have driven past this creek by my aunt and uncle’s house in New York my whole life. Last summer, I waded into it for the first time. It was comforting to know, in a year of upheavals, that change can be as simple as switching up your vantage point. The same old view can always transform into a new world.
Artist Bio: Caroline Menzie is an artist from Massachusetts currently studying under J. Kirk Richards at the JKR Studio Academy. Her work embodies the peaceful yet lively energy of New England’s natural scenery. She also enjoys writing poetry and analytical essays. In her free time, she is either trying a new Serious Eats recipe or reading a book that's taken her a year to finish.
