Artist Statement: With the spirit of Easter and the glory of 'He is Risen' | created a piece to represent the parts of the earth that will rise and be given new life one day. Working with flowers & botanicals, everything I create I hope to bring new life to. I think it is a beautiful representation of the incredible gifts that women have as divine creators, of life with their children, in the way that they interact with those around them, and for myself specifically right now, in the way that I create artwork. I love being able to work with such a delicate medium. I chose blooms that will not fade over time in order to represent the timelessness of creation.
As children of God, the ultimate creator, it is in our DNA to give life and beauty to this world through our artwork and creative identities, especially as women.
