Artist Bio: Clinton Whiting is a multi-disciplinary artist influenced by conceptual and modernist practices, which can be attributed to studies while receiving a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from the University of Utah, and a Masters of Fine Arts from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma in Rome Italy. He is best known for his ability to capture movement of the figure through cubist composition and broken lines. The Utah-based artist is occupied with exploring intangible connections between people and how these dynamic connections can be represented on the static surface of a canvas. He uses line as an intermediary between an idea and actual space.
Clinton’s work has been exhibited in solo and group shows across the United States and the world. Recent exhibits include Utah Arts & Museum's Statewide Annual 2025 at SUMA in Cedar City UT; The Great Remediation at the Raymond Gallery at BYU Library (2024); Landscape in the Background, Solo Exhibit BDAC UT (2024); 99th Annual Spring Salon, Springville Museum of Art, UT (2023); Our Valley Speaks, Granary Arts, Ephraim, UT (2021); Abiding Embrace, Rome Italy (2019).
Clinton lives and works in Holladay Utah.
