Artist Statement: There are two things that I have identified as being foundational for joy. The first is belonging, a God given need to be connected with Him and others. The second is agency, the need to act independently using my own will. These are both gifts purchased through God Sacrifice. It is our privilege to use them and to honor them in others. They are not at odds, but roots of the same tree whose fruit sustains me as I joyfully come to know and experience creat-ed, creating, creator, the measure of my creation.
