Artist Statement: When I think of our time in mortality, I imagine heavenly parents counseling together about what defines divinity. I imagine father expressing that obedience, laws and covenants help us to bridle our passions and consecrate our time. I feel that in this way I can come to know him. I imagine mother advocating that the full spectrum of bodily experience, pain, joy, sorrow, peace, and the understanding that comes because of it expands our souls to greater capacities. In this way I can come to know her. I see mortality as a coming together of the two, with Christ satisfying them both.
