Artist Statement: The way the intense blue of the distant mountains contrasted with the warm rocks in the foreground captured my attention. I decided to get my interpretation down in paint.
Artist Bio: Eileen Guernsey Brown is passionate about plein air painting and often travels with her husband and two dogs around the West in their 1975 Argosy trailer, painting familiar, much-loved locations and discovering new vistas along the way. Whether painting outdoors or in her Salt Lake City Avenues studio, Eileen continues to explore color and brushwork with enthusiasm.
