Artist Statement: This piece celebrates love for humanity as something collective and steady. We might feel more divided than ever as current events seem to pull us apart, but we are each more alike than different. Like sunflowers, individually rooted yet facing the same sun, we all are unique, yet share the same desire to exist and belong.
Artist Bio: While Emily’s childhood imagination had her constantly jumping from one interest to the next, she always came back to creating with her hands. Happily, at age 16 she discovered her passion for art through oil painting and has pursued a career in art ever since. She studied in several places, including Italy, and currently paints and teaches from her private home studio. Her favorite part of being an artist is the people she meets and the stories she paints. Emily lives in Utah with her husband, Jordan, and their three fun-loving sons.
