Artist Bio: I’m a landscape painter based in Utah, where I live, work, and find inspiration in the mountains and deserts. Most of my paintings begin en plein air, allowing me to connect directly with the landscape and capture qualities that are difficult to achieve from photographs alone.
Drawn to remote and rugged places, and aided by custom painting gear that I design, build, and refine myself, I often hike into the backcountry in search of inspiration. The challenges of working outdoors— such changing weather, terrain, and light—are part of what makes the experience meaningful.
My work is motivated by a simple appreciation for beauty, whether found in a dramatic landscape or a quiet everyday moment. Through painting, I hope to capture not just what a place looks like, but what it feels like to be there.
