The mind, the ego holds tightly to the structures that are certain and safe.
The heart gently reassures the mind it doesn't need to protect it so tightly, the heart is strong. New knowledge breaks through those walls and layers, illuminating the blind spots that keep some hearts safe, at the expense of others. The mind, the ego lets go of its tight hold, and enters a free fall into a watery dark, only to realize the grace of the Universe catches the heart, and the heart is finally free to float, to walk on water. With renewed faith and freedom, the heart knows it can safely enter any space....to lift other hearts, to advocate, to redeem them from their cages too.
About the artist: Whitney seeks to honor and explore the complexities of life through colorful impressionism and spiritual themes. She enjoys learning about the collective and individual human experience through reading, conversation, and her work as a nurse. She enjoys contemplating on the relationship of the human and the Divine and works to express these thoughts with art.
