Artist Statement: This piece is about the person you love and how their support makes life worth living. Growing up I really bought into the idea of finding the perfect person to love and life going smoothly and perfectly ever after. The reality has been that I have found a wonderful spouse and we have been through so many ups and downs together – job loss, death of loved ones, building our dream home, health issues, adopting two cats that we love, we’ve been through a lot! What’s been essential through it all is our connection and the support of each other through those times, and being able to rely on each other through it all has made all the difference.
