Artist Bio: Gary Hall began his college studies at Brigham Young University in Utah as an engineering student. While taking a Ceramics class as a general education requirement he found a passion for creating art out of clay. After completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Ceramics, Gary went on to work at art bronze foundries and learned the skills necessary to transform clay into bronze. He also attained a Master of Fine Arts degree from BYU with an emphasis in Ceramics and Sculpture.
From 2011 to 2017, Gary served in the Utah Army National Guard. Most of that time was with the 214th Forward Support Company, distributing fuel and ammunition to support the missions of the 65th Field Artillery Brigade.
Currently, Gary teaches sculpture at Utah Valley University and works at Adonis Bronze Foundry in Alpine, Utah. His work is represented by the Urban Arts Gallery in Salt Lake City and Define Gallery in Sarasota, Florida. The city of Springville acquired one of Gary's biomorphic abstractions cast in bronze as part of its public art program.
Gary has raised two sons and lives with his wife, Lorna, in Springville, Utah.
