Artist Statement: Remember the Ladies draws from the enduring plea of Abigail Adams, who urged that women not be forgotten in the forming of a nation. Though not bound to a specific time, the figure stands as a quiet witness to that call—holding symbols of peace, yet grounded in strength. The painting reflects the idea that remembrance is not passive—it is an act of recognition, of honoring voices that have long shaped the world.
Artist Bio: Heather Graham is a contemporary oil painter whose work explores light, atmosphere, and the spiritual resonance of both landscape and figurative subjects. She earned a B.F.A. in Illustration from Brigham Young University and pursued classical training at the Beaux-Arts Academy before continuing her studies at the JKR Academy.
Her work has been recognized by the National Oil & Acrylic Painters’ Society and the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art, and she was awarded Best of Show at the American Fork Steel Days Art Show. Graham’s paintings balance careful observation with expressive mark-making, inviting quiet reflection on beauty, faith, and lived experience.
