Artist Statement: I imagine Heavenly Mother had a hand in the creation of everything that brings joy, happiness, beauty, warmth and love in the world. She's the artist of the beauty in nature. She formulated the colors of each petal and each leaf. She designed the wings of the butterfly. She's the architect of the sky during sunset. She and Heavenly Father created Christ. She created the most beautiful human who was everything and all that is Love. Through Christ's love, we can learn to love like Christ. And loving fully like Christ, we'll learn to love ourselves. Most spend their whole lives trying to get there. And then there's people who emulate Christ's love and don't even know it.
This is my Herbarium of love. Each specimen are my personal stories of love; the milestones, the discoveries, the understanding of love, learning of a new love, learning an old love, an unconditional, a deep, a soft, a safe, a binding, a nurturing, an eternal, a full, a giving, a soulmate, and a Self love.
The Marigold is the sun and light that lives inside of me. Learning to see myself how they see me. I'm an artist like Her; the only way to express it, understand it, and feel it, is through my creations and art. It is my purpose to understand the whole spectrum of love.
I think Christ is the muse to the love on earth; and the Artist, Heavenly Mother.
