Artist Statement:
This series of two paintings is a collaboration with my son Simon. It is meant to be a reminder to loving, worrying parents that when you don't know what to do and the way forward is unsure, you can hold on!
Artist Bio:
American Fork, UT based artist, Katie Cash Davis, is the creator of unique, expressive work using a variety of mediums including layers of acrylic and collage. She is passionate about portraying the movement and texture and beauty of life as a human living on this planet. Her two sons with special needs and her experience of being a mother to children who see the world differently than most, informs her work and her world view in a beautiful way. She is able to bring a spontaneity and simplicity into her work that reflects the beauty of life from a more childlike view. Katie has had work displayed at the Springville Museum of Art in their 37th Annual Spiritual and Religious Art of Utah show, as well as in art shows at the JKR Gallery in Provo Utah.
