Artist Statement: From my pioneer great-grandmothers I inherited courage and the faith to do hard things. My grandmothers showed me that sacrifice for family was a way of life. From my mother I was given a love of art, and I learned the value of laughter and the importance of friendships. I envision the love and influence from the women of my family tree continuing to flow down to me.
What am I giving to my children, grandchildren, and beyond? What characteristics and effects am I adding to those that came before me? What is the inheritance that will flow to them?
And what flows down to me from my Heavenly Mother? What of the Divine have I inherited from Her? What divine attributes are seeds within me that I can nourish and grow as I strive to become more like Her? I desire wisdom and love to flow to me through the conduit of power that connects me to Mother and Father.
