Artist Statement: Mango and Mango Seed make a diptych that explores the quiet dialogue between wholeness and what remains. The first panel—the ripe, luminous fruit—embodies abundance, vitality, and sensory pleasure. In contrast, the seed, stripped of its flesh, reveals the hidden core: rough, fibrous, and persistent. Together they speak to cycles of growth and renewal, presence and absence. By separating the fruit from its source, I invite the viewer to consider transformation—the way beauty gives way to essence, and nourishment to potential. The diptych becomes a meditation on what is consumed and what continues, on the tension between fleeting sweetness and enduring structure.
