Artist Statement: A Pattern of Place reflects on my pioneer ancestry. The repeating patterns echo the landscape and the feeling of being part of something that endures. Place is not just seen, but also carried with us, woven from our history and who we are.
Artist Bio: Julie Kay Berry is a Utah-based artist who tells human stories through her art. Guided by her faith and love of travel, she approaches life with endless curiosity and creativity. Using her signature mixed-media technique, Julie crafts original mono-printed papers to build richly textured backgrounds and intricate details, then paints faces, hands, and other expressive elements in oil and acrylic.
