Artist Statement: Cascade Mountain in the Provo, Utah area showcases amazing geology: its rock slab-like avenues allow for several beautiful, famous Utah waterfalls, including Bridal Veil Falls. This point of view is from Cascade Springs on the Wasatch Back.
Artist Bio: Kat was inspired to paint by her travels and experiences in the vast wilderness of the American West. Kat realized that, for her, capturing a photo didn't feel like enough to remember a special vista or feeling of being on a high peak or low desert, so she decided to start painting those vistas. Kat firmly believes painting a landscape encapsulates the experience of the viewer forever, for every brush stroke is a connection with the land and its living things. Kat received her Bachelor's of Art from BYU-Hawaii and still loves visiting the island. Kat loves spending time with her family traveling, mountain biking, snowboarding, and riding motorcycles.
