Artist Statement: Christ stands amongst the majesty of creation with one hand extended in invitation, the other on his heart to express a longing to receive. Christ offers ALL his love, healing, and power when we have the desire to follow Him. Christ is surrounded by sacred symbolic plants, trees, and flowers, representing creation and unity of all peoples and cultures of the world.
Artist Bio: Kat studied art at BYU-Hawaii and can't stop painting things she loves. Kat is primarily a mountain landscape artist working in oil and watercolor, but also loves to paint Christian art, especially scenes from the life of Christ. Kat believes it is the responsibility of the artist to connect the viewer to a special or unique feeling or idea. Paintings created by Kat come from her experiences in the mountains and desert, Hawaii, and with her boys.
