Artist Statement: I created this dream-like image of a pair on a journey. The layers and textures show what we hope and imagine together as we choose to be two different people in the same boat.
Artist Bio: Based in American Fork, Utah, artist Katie Cash Davis is the creator of unique, expressive work using a variety of mediums including layers of acrylic and collage. She is passionate about portraying the movement, texture, and beauty of life as a human living on this planet. She has two sons with special needs. Her experience of being a mother to children who see the world differently than most informs her work and worldview in a beautiful way. She brings a spontaneity and simplicity to her work that reflects the beauty of life from a childlike view.
