Artist Bio: Keersten Jensen is an oil painter and educator with over two decades of experience. She loves finding beauty in everyday moments and sharing the joy of creating. She enjoys teaching both children and adults and has seen firsthand how powerful art can be while teaching after-school classes and directing an art literacy program for elementary students. A lifelong watcher of light and color, she began drawing as a child and has never stopped exploring how light and color shape the world around her.
From 2018–2025, she apprenticed with Jeff Hein, strengthening her technical skills and deepening her appreciation for traditional practices. While she enjoys studio work, she’s especially drawn to plein air painting and the challenge of working outdoors in Utah’s varied landscapes. She has received multiple awards for her work. Keersten also creates figurative paintings that tell meaningful stories of women across modern, historical, and religious contexts, always aiming to blend skill and heart in ways that encourage viewers to slow down and really look.
