Artist Statement: This is a part of a little series of Jesus growing up as a boy. In Alma 7:10 it says that Mary was a precious and chosen vessel. She had the great responsibility to help lead and guide him. This painting shows that he had to start with the small things like learning to walk, just like we all do, and he had a great mother to help him along the way.
Artist Biography: For over 20 years, Cortney Lunt has been a full time mom and a part time artist. Family has always been her main priority, and continues to be so, but she is finding more time for her art as her family has grown up. Art, family, and spirituality have always been interconnected for her. She loves to paint anything that brings joy. She truly feels like the Lord has had a hand in her work and is very grateful for the opportunity to share her artwork with others.
