In the search for understanding, we thrust all the light and hope we have up toward heaven and plead for additional guidance. There we sit in darkness, waiting. And just when our strength feels like it may fail us, we start to see a trickle of light—ray upon ray, line upon line, breaking through the heavens. However, even that revelation must be understood: for it has been filtered through our lenses, colored by our preconceptions, and blocked by obstacles. Nevertheless, the Lord is ever patient with us, and waits to bless us with more as we receive it.
