Artist statement: Capitol Reef National Park is a designated Dark Sky Park. These landscapes captures a special moment at the park when the moon was so full that it lit up the entire canyon in the middle of the night.
Artist Bio: Haylee Syphus, a Utah native, developed her passion for beautiful scenery while living in the red rock desert of southern Utah. Likewise, the terrain of nearby national and state parks make mountainous landscapes feel like home. She takes pride in standing out. Her artwork goes beyond the oil landscape. It begins with the canvas; building and framing each one with a unique shape in mind.
