Artist statement: Collage and acrylic paint create layers of a swirling nest to keep these little eggs safe. In life I gather and twist together all the goodness I can find in a similar way--little whisps of wisdom and peace and humor that I want intertwined in my own nest.
Artist Bio: American Fork, UT based artist, Katie Cash Davis, is the creator of unique, expressive work using a variety of mediums including layers of acrylic and collage. She is passionate about portraying the movement and texture and beauty of life as a human living on this planet. Her two sons with special needs and her experience of being a mother to children who see the world differently than most, informs her work and her world view in a beautiful way. She is able to bring a spontaneity and simplicity into her work that reflects the beauty of life from a more childlike view.
