Artist Statement: Mourning doves are often seen as symbols of love and peace, known for their close interactions. They are highly social and affectionate birds that form strong monogamous bonds throughout the breeding season, sometimes lasting for life. They demonstrate connection through collaborative care for their young and affectionate behaviors, such grooming of the neck and "kissing" (beak-to-beak contact).

Artist Bio: Nicky Soulier is a fine art oil painter based out of South Jordan, Utah. Blending her classically influenced technical discipline with emotional depth, she bares her testimony through paint. Her art explores faith, connection, and the quiet beauty of everyday moments. As a wife and mother of four and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Nicky feels called to consecrate her talents and share her light through her art. She believes creativity is a divine gift that connects us to the ultimate Creator and that painting can be a form of prayer.

In 2025, Nicky was honored with the first-ever Inspirational Art Association's Emerging Artist Award. She has exhibited in juried shows and galleries, including at the Springville Museum of Art, and was awarded second place at the South Jordan Arts Show for Art Council's Choice. With a background in photography, she has an eye for composition and light. She has studied with accomplished artists including J. Kirk Richards, Dan Wilson, and Joseph Brickey, and with Royal Institute Artist Lizzie Black in France. She is continually refining her technical skill while also listening for her distinct artistic voice.
