Arrist Statement: Spiritually, crows represent transformation, rebirth, and destiny. Just as the crow sits between the two candles with one lit and the other in smoke, symbolizing a significant shift or change.
Artist Bio: Kelsey Critchfield (b. 1992) is a fine artist living in Salt Lake City, Utah. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Brigham Young University, and lived and worked at the Society of Illustrators in New York City. She has studied with many gifted and influential instructors throughout the United States and Italy.
Her paintings are influenced by many of her travel experiences and legendary artworks of the Old Masters. She loves to paint portraits and florals with a dark, moody aesthetic. She works mainly in oil, painting the traditional figure and portrait through a realistic perspective with contemporary themes.
Kelsey’s work has been shown at the Springville Museum of Art, Anthony's Fine Art, JKR Gallery, George S. & Dolores Doré Eccles Art Gallery, and Logan Fine Art Gallery. She has sold works to various collectors, as well as commissions for clients.
