Artist Statement: I LOVE to create, and I draw all my illustrations on a tablet, but I also try to used textured pens and paints to create a more organic and handcrafted feel, reminiscent of the days before digital art. Each frame is built from scratch, beginning with the fame profile, which I often try to match with the specific image. Using 3D software, I extrude the profile to create a full fledged 3D model of the frame. Finally, I print each frame to order with a 3D printer.
Artist Bio: As a guy in a wheelchair growing up on a farm, I couldn’t do much. Learning to draw and create gave me something to do—I had plenty of time to work on my skills. I’ve continued to develop my talent throughout my life, but only recently decided to turn my love of drawing into a side business. I've also recently learned to create using a 3D printer. It hit me one day that I could create and sell fun and unique works of art, combining my fun, whimsical illustrations with custom-designed 3D-printed frames.
I have a BA in Film Production and have worked on a wide variety of films in a wide variety positions. Acting is my favorite job in film. I've had speaking parts in nine feature films, as well as several smaller productions. I'm Utah born and raised, but have lived in Los Angeles and Austin, TX and have recently landed back in Utah, and—so far—am enjoying getting to know the people, places, and things the art scene has to offer.
