While working on this painting I thought about its creative origin: flowers created by God and grown by a farmer, a florist arranging them, and a restaurateur adding them to a space to beautify a table. I also depended on a framer’s skill and vision to finish the piece. Realizing I get to participate in this chain of creators brings a new joy to the painting process. Art has a magical way of connecting humanity. My hope is for this creative chain to continue when it is added to a gallery space or a wall in a home.
